Stop Waiting, Start Being.
My new mantra: I’m not waiting, I’m being.
When I look at all the minutes that add up to hours and days spent waiting for someone to arrive, food to be ready, a meeting to start, a plane to unboard, a vacation to hurry up and happen, the scale to change numbers, a person to answer the phone, a Friday to come, and so on…
I’m in awe of how much time is spent just waiting. For something other than this very moment, which is actually the only thing we truly have. The now.
I don’t want to live a life like that. I don’t want to keep waiting and rushing through the moment to get to the next. I don’t want to be dreaming of the future and wishing away the present because it’s not good enough, or as good as it could be.
I want to breathe, see, be. Right here, right now.
No more waiting.
